Every event was a success!

We would like to give a brief explanation of our activities within the association. Some people volunteer to raise funds.

The proceeds will go to various homes where these children have been taken into protection, to help them process their trauma.

We have already achieved various goals in the past, such as purchasing materials, organizing holiday camps and day trips, having a swing installed, etc.

The fact that there is great appreciation for all this is further demonstrated by various letters of thanks from institutions.

Naturally, it is our intention to continue these activities in the future.

We are convinced that this aid to the institutions will help these children, who have already endured so much suffering and pain, to get their lives back on track.

The gratitude that these children radiate is so overwhelming, which motivates our volunteers even more, because without their efforts none of this would have been possible. Through this effort and sponsorship we were also able to organize a shoe and clothing campaign, which gave us the opportunity to surprise various institutions with large quantities of new shoes and clothing.

It always gives us such great pleasure to see that not only do our volunteers care about the fate of these children, but that you help us to make their lives a little easier.

For this we say out loud: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!

Day trip and holiday camp in the summer

What we also want to organize every summer is a day trip and a holiday camp.

For many children born into a warm and happy family this is the most normal thing in the world, but for these children it is a golden opportunity.

Every time we go on a trip, the transportation of these children and the entrance to the amusement park are at the expense of our association.

In the afternoon we prepare a picnic, and then eat together with the volunteers, supervisors and children. This unforgettable day is always worth it for the children who can let go of the brakes.

This also gives our volunteers an enormous sense of satisfaction.

It is only through your support and our commitment that we can make all of this happen.

Sometimes we are asked why we never publish photos of our activities. We are legally prohibited from publishing photos of these children, so as not to harm their privacy.

More can be achieved through cooperation

Our association always strives for the best welfare of children. Despite the efforts of our volunteers, we often notice that our help remains limited, while we want to do so much more.

Thanks to the great mentality of our members, we came into contact with Zonnedekens, an organization that is committed to alleviating the suffering of children. They make cuddle blankets and other handicrafts to make children happy. They mainly support the UZ of Jette and the UZ of Ghent, and also children who have traumas due to abuse.

After some positive conversations we were so impressed with their work that we decided to work more closely together. We believe that through cooperation we can achieve a lot.

The smile of a child

A child's smile is not just a song, but also a reality that we recently experienced again. Our association works closely with other organizations that put the well-being of children first. For example, we recently discovered the wonderful initiative 't Heemke in Limburg, which is committed to children with a disability. These children can go to creative activities and an annual motorcycle run a few days a week, which they look forward to immensely. We were happy to support this project and were surprised by the many bikers who helped to give the children an unforgettable day. The joy and gratitude were impressive and gave us all a sense of satisfaction. It was a successful day for everyone, and it reminds us that a child's smile is the most beautiful thing on earth.

As many of you know, we recently sponsored an amount for a chill house and agility equipment for children with psychological problems. This house has now been delivered and our chairman and some volunteers were present at the official opening. We have taken pictures and will post them on our website. We are happy to hear that the chill house is regularly used by children who need rest and relaxation. It gives us great pleasure to know that we have contributed to this important initiative. We wish the institution many years of enjoyment with the chill house and will continue to work for the well-being of children.

Santa Claus doesn't forget these children!

Like every year, our volunteers did their utmost to surprise the children of the institution that is close to our hearts with beautiful Christmas packages. This is a great event for these children, so we felt it was important to provide them with a package again. With dedication and love, we put together 105 Christmas packages, which were distributed to the children by the institution. The smiles on their faces and the letter of thanks from the institution gave us all a good feeling.

Now we are going to work hard again to support a project that the institution needs in the new year. This time we have chosen an agility course, because many children do not exercise enough due to psychological problems and are overweight. This course offers both exercise and fun, and we fully support this choice. Unfortunately, such projects often involve high costs. In consultation with the management, we have made a contribution and received a letter of thanks.

Some of you may remember that we sponsored a chill house last year. We also promised to build the road to the chill house, but due to other projects there was no budget for it anymore. This year the construction of that road is on our program, so that the children can visit the chill house with clean feet.

Our volunteers continue to work selflessly to support projects that we know are meant for children in distressing situations. We thank everyone for reading and following our activities, because your involvement is the ultimate proof to us that you, like us, consider the well-being of children to be very important. Thank you!
